Thank you for your interest in Smith & Wesson. To submit an invention to Smith & Wesson you must have a patent (issued or provisional), or at least a filed patent application, that covers the invention you wish to submit. 

Before Smith & Wesson is able to consider your invention, you MUST complete the following steps:

1. Download and submit the Smith & Wesson Outside Inventor Agreement Submission of Idea Download PDF. Be sure to complete all required fields and provide the required signatures; 

2. Provide official copies of your patent(s) or filed patent application(s) that relate to your submitted invention. Note: for patents or patent applications that are in a language other than English, please also provide a full translation in English;

3. Provide a brief summary of your invention; and

4. Provide your contact information.

Complete submissions are reviewed in the order in which they are received. Please be patient during this process. Due to the volume of submissions received, it may take several weeks before Smith & Wesson is able to review your submission.
