Smith & Wesson M&P Certified Armorer Training Program

Smith & Wesson provides professional Armorer training for the M&P pistol platform to sporting goods retailers, law enforcement, military, licensed security, and other personnel who desire to have in-depth knowledge of the Smith & Wesson M&P pistol. Armorer certification classes provided by Smith & Wesson are designed to educate and provide recommendations for the safe, responsible user and repair of Smith & Wesson M&P pistols.

What is the M&P Pistol Armorer training?
Each successful graduate of the Smith & Wesson M&P Pistol Armorer Training Program will be certified to safely service and maintain M&P Full-, Mid-, amd Compact size Centerfire pistols to full factory delivered specifications. This program is presented in a one-day (8-hour) classroom environment.

The course curriculum covers an in-depth review of all M&P pistol components including:
- Overview of the Smith & Wesson M&P pistol
- Function of all safeties including proper unloading and cleaning
- Field stripping and reassembly (sear deactivation lever and take down lever)
- Detailed disassembly and reassembly of the slide
- Fire control component configurations and repair modules
- Ambidextrous control assemblies and field modification
- Diagnostics and trouble shooting
- Tool utilization and safety rules
- Multiple disassembly and reassembly sessions

What is the benefit of attending and successfully completing Armorer training?
Graduates will leave with a thorough understanding of the M&P pistol design, construction, features and operation. Successful certification will also allow the graduate to safely service and maintain the full line of M&P pistols and order replacement parts for in-field serviceability.

At the conclusion of the Armorer training program all successful graduates will receive a complete graduation welcome kit, (1) M&P pistol tool kit, and (1) parts kit per retail location.
